The New 2012 Season is almost ready to begin

As soon as I ever get any info in writing as to a new Shedule for the 2012 season, What classes are going to be run, (as they seem to change from week to week, I will add all here.

I know many have been asking me as to what and when changes will happen, but I did it last year and got tired of changing things from week to week.

Looks as though this Sunday could have a chance of snow, so there is a little time still for all to be posted.

been brought up that some would like to get together to talk about what is going to happen in 2012.

Added a few pictures below of "The Fall Brawl" Wiinners, and the Winners in the Fall Racing Series at Our Track. I would like for all to stay in contact over the Winter Months until we get back into racing by catching all on the forums, or dropping us some EMail here to anything that might be new, you think is interesting, or you would like to see in the 2012 Season.

Had a great time at the "Fall Brawl" Race.

Here is a little of what all happened at the Fall Brawl. All the regulars had a great time and we handed the Fall trophies and the "Fall Brawl" trophies out at the end of the race day.

Mod touring was a close race. Pooch got on his lid on the first or second lap and was coming back up to battle with Roger and Adrian, but flipped again, and from there it was history, he was too far back and Roger took the win, with Adrian only .8 seconds back.

In Sportsman truck there was some good racing in the Main. Chris took the win, with Mike not that far behind him, (but they both had the short course buggies, of which could be a class next year, if enough people buy them). Michael Appleman was not that far behind them, but could not catch them.

In RCGT Roger Turner took off and didn't look back. Mike Henry and Carlton Coleman and Michael Appleman were the closest to him and they were 2 laps down.

In Sportsman Touring Tom James took the win. He looked pretty good (but didn't want to hang around and get his trophy) :-) Ted Larkin came in second and Darren Broadwater third. They were spaced out pretty far, but it was a good race.

F-1 even made a comeback for the day. Carlton Coleman remembered how to make his way back down to Manassas and took the win. Chris, Michael and Mike gave him a good run for his money and was a fun race to watch.

Not much to report in Mod Truck, alls I can say is Minh didn't have much to worry about.

This was what all happened in our club race we ran on 10-23-2011. This was the final in the Fall POINTS STANDINGS and can be found by clicking the link, or on the left under Fall Points, and the RACE RESULTS for the heats and mains on the last race in the points series on the 23rd of October.

RCRNV FALL BRAWL

This was a great day of racing, and glad all showed up even though it was a cool day. Turned out to be a nice one for the closing day of our 2011 racing season.

We would like to Thank all that came out this year to make The RCRNV
a Great Place to race, and for All to have a good time, and a local place to race.
It was all the Nice people that came out this year that made things Cool

to run the races,
Looking forward to 2012 and more great racing.
This was the last race of the year, and Hope to see all next year. Maybe we will get a few new people over the Winter that would like to get into racing with use, so spread the word. Right now it is looking like we will try to start (weather permitting around March-April)

RCRNV is NOW a ROAR Sanctioned Track

Chris has been kicking this idea around for some time, and over the Winter decided it was time to check into what all was involved in getting the Club to belong to it. All the paper work is now done, and here is What you might need to know.

The Cost for you to join will only be $25, which is a cheap price to pay for all that you will be getting. Insurance, plus all the other benefits that go with it will be included. Chris has decided since there is the cost of $25 to join that if you show your ROAR Card (regardless if you have joined this year or not, as long as it is still current) He will present you with a pass that will be good for 2 races, that way the membership cost is only going to be costing $5, and you can't beat that with a stick.
This is a very small price to pay so we will all know that we are covered by an insurance policy as well as the club.
ROAR Membership can also be purchased straight through Chris, the first day of our racing, if you have not, or are not already a member, that way you don't have to deal with any of the paper work, and the ROAR card will be mailed directly to you, and Chris will be handling all the leg work on getting it sent in.
(I am not sure, but pretty sure from the past they have a discount for a family, so this should help any that fall under this)
I know some might be worried about all the strict rules that they see, or think ROAR has, but most I would say, over 99% are already good to go. Biggest thing is we want all to be having a good time. Chris says he is not going to be a Nazi about the rules, but I think everyone wants to see some good clean racing, all on the same field, no matter if you are rich or poor. We just want to see a good time be had by all.

GT Class was really a BIG Success in 2010.
We will continue with most all of the same rules we ran, so you won't have to change
much, if anything. Still only be running the HPI X Pattern tires ONLY, as stated in the rules. This means if you have anything else you are running you will not get points for that day or a win, or TQ if that happens. Also, we are going to be doing simple Tech, which is basically bodies, tires, and Motors. On ESC, there will be NO Boost, or Advance, so please take it out before you get to the track, as this too will be a disquailification for the day and no Points for that race.
Other thing is just make sure you get that weight to 1425, so you will be on the same page as everyone else is.
